This Monday is Memorial Day, which means that right now all around the country people are jetting out of work early, packing the kids into the car, and heading out for a long weekend of celebration. There will be fireworks; there will be picnics. There will be beach trips and boating and beer. There will be laughter; there will be smiles. There will be sunsets and sunrises watched, memories made, and stories shared.
Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer vacation, and as such is cause for celebration. With a holiday packed full of such fun activities, it’s easy for people to forget the real reason for Memorial Day: a day of remembrance and gratitude for those who have died protecting our country.
At Rosetta Radiology, we are so incredibly grateful to those who have served and continue to serve our country. We owe everything—our lives, our freedom, the fact that we are able to do everything that we do—to the incredible sacrifice of these men and women.
We urge each of you to take some time this Memorial Day to honor the fallen. Put down your hot dogs, stop your celebrations, and simply remember.
