ROSETTA RADIOLOGY is a private radiology group practice in Manhattan. We are full time, experienced, board-certified radiologists- Dr. Alfred Rosenbaum, Dr. Stanley Rosenfeld, Dr. Emily Sonnenblick, Dr. Ayala Rosenbaum. We offer expertise in mammography, ultrasound, x ray, breast imaging and biopsy, breast MRI, body MRI, CT scanning and PET CT scanning.
For the past 45 years, Rosetta Radiology (formerly Docs at 945 Fifth Avenue) has been synonymous with high quality diagnostic imaging and interpretation as well as radiation therapy. Our priority is accurate diagnosis with a personal touch. Each patient, whether visiting for an X ray, ultrasound, CT scan, MRI or mammogram will see the doctor during his or her visit. Through close communication with the patient and the referring physician, we insure timely diagnosis and follow up. This emphasis on personalized care distinguishes us from many other full service radiology practices in New York City.
In the 1960s, Norman Simon, MD and Sidney Silverstone, MD, pioneers in radiation oncology, opened a practice for radiation therapy on Fifth Avenue. This was the first free-standing cobalt therapy unit in the City. Shortly afterwards, the practice added diagnostic facilities. Since that time, the practice has grown to represent one of the only private practice groups in New York to offer a full range of diagnostic modalities, as well as the most modern treatment using image-guided therapy by a linear accelerator. We have taken the name Rosetta to represent our special combination of radiation oncology, scanning (ultrasound, mammography, CT, MRI, bone densitometry), emission tomography (PET), and tissue acquisition (biopsies).
In the summer of 2008, we moved all of our services from 945 Fifth Avenue to 1421 Third Avenue at 80TH Street. We now occupy 4 floors of our medical building next door to Eli's Foods. While we have expanded our square footage and added new diagnostic tests to our existing practice, we maintain our philosophy of providing personal care in this age of high tech imaging.
We are accredited by The American College of Radiolgy in mammography, ultrasound, breast biopsy, CT scan, PET CT scan and MRI.
